Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine and cardiology procedures in a certified, patient-focused setting.

Role requires certification upon hire (ARDMS/ARRT, CNMT, NMTCB) and BLS, with at least 1 year of experience and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine program. You will mentor students and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• 1 year of experience required.
• AR DMS/ARRT or CNMT or NMTCB certification required upon hire; BLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/therapeutic nuclear medicine exams across age groups with proper positioning, protocol, technique and equipment.
• Reviews exam requisitions and notes pertinent information.
• Assesses quality of radiopharmaceuticals received from suppliers.
• Explains procedures and safety precautions to patients; assists during tests.
• Protects patients, staff and self during all exams.
• Maintains records, reports, licenses, and files per federal/state regulations.
• Maintains proficiency in advanced nuclear medicine imaging techniques.
• Plans and assists with multiple diagnostic procedures in proper sequence.
• Mentors students and junior technologists.
• Ensures department complies with regulatory requirements.
• Post-processes advanced imaging using tools like Syngo Via.

Education

Nuclear Medicine program accreditation (JRCNMT or NMTCB)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
