Job summary

X Energy is seeking a Mechanical Construction Field Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to coordinate mechanical construction activities safely and in line with nuclear quality and regulatory requirements. You will interface with design engineering, superintendents, foremen, and contractors to interpret technical docs, develop work packages, and ensure complete, quality turnovers for commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required or international equivalent accepted.
• 20+ years of relevant experience typically demonstrated.
• Experience with construction of nuclear facilities.
• Knowledge of construction inspection principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Reviews contractor projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinates construction operations impact on external interfaces to align with schedules.
• Enforces field construction policies, procedures and rules.
• Interpret Engineering design and vendor documents for field teams.
• Maintain project document control and latest document versions.
