Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Chicago offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote. The role involves nuclear power plant systems design, including preparation or review of modification packages, drawings, analyses, specifications, and vendor evaluations.

You will lead engineering project teams, develop cost estimates for client scopes, and interface with clients at sites or offices.

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization required; employer does not sponsor.
• BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from ABET-accredited program with coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfers.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the power industry.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify nuclear power plant systems and components.
• Prepare and review modification packages, drawings, and technical specs.
• Perform engineering analyses to support modifications and operation.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients on site or in offices.
