Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a mechanical/chemical engineer for nuclear power systems design on a hybrid schedule, in-office 3 days weekly. You will prepare or review modification packages, drawings, analyses, specifications, and procurements for plant equipment.

You will also develop cost estimates, interface with clients onsite, and lead engineering project teams while leveraging modern tools and automation to improve workflow and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in mechanical or chemical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5+ years in nuclear power industry.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical engineering design of power plants.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients onsite.
• Prepare/Review modification packages, drawings, and engineering analyses.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for client work scopes.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
