Job summary

At AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Instrumentation/Control Engineer to design and develop I&C systems for nuclear projects, including Small Modular Reactors. Focus on regulatory compliance, documentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineers, suppliers, and regulators.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to control system validation, and support construction in the field, ensuring high standards of safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Mastered knowledge of electrical design and plant instrumentation.
• Experience in nuclear industry preferred.
• Licensing standards and regulatory processes knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop I&C systems for Small Modular Reactors.
• Prepare and maintain instrumentation documentation (diagrams, data sheets, I/O lists).
• Interface with engineering disciplines, suppliers and regulatory agencies.
• Provide field support for installation, commissioning and testing.
• Lead and coach intermediate or junior I&C engineers.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Deliver technical presentations and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
