Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Atlanta is seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Group, upgrading and modernizing plant control systems (PLC, DCS, HSI) with a focus on technical execution and project management.

Lead and support multi-disciplinary projects, coordinate with clients, prepare technical reports, review design documentation, develop estimates and budgets, and evaluate vendor bids while ensuring compliance with specifications and FAT demonstrations. PE preferred.

Qualifications

• A BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in I&C Design Engineering, with at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license is preferred.
• Clear spoken and written communication; client liaison experience.
• Experience reviewing design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop Digital Systems Design—PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems.
• Prepare control system requirements and procurement specifications.
• Interface with the client to ensure project execution and satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies.
• Manage resources and develop estimates for task completion and budgets.
• Support the development of proposals.
• Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for new/upgraded controls.
• Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective.
• Interface with vendors to review documents and witness FAT for the client.
• Support project implementation at the client’s facilities.
