Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering design and analysis for the Advanced Energy Solutions Business Unit at Idaho Falls, ID or Oak Ridge, TN. This exempt, full-time role requires directing the Nuclear Solutions engineering team and delivering PE-certified engineering work for complex national programs.

You will engage with clients, manage technical deliverables, compliance and workflow development, and help shape the skill mix of the group while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering with PE certification.
• 15+ years' nuclear industry experience across DoD and DoE.
• Experience leading cross-background teams.
• Experience with principles of engineering design and analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, managers, and clients.
• Familiarity with EVMS, Cost to Complete, and project budgets.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance.
• Able to stand/sit and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the BGS Nuclear Solutions engineering team.
• Draft reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee stamping of professional engineer deliverables for state requirements.
• Ensure understanding of customer engineering and drafting standards.
• Develop strategy for engineering software and hardware for design and analysis.
• Develop strategy for the engineering group’s skill mix.
• Support proposals and projects via industry experience and code reviews.
