Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) is seeking a Chemical Engineer to support the Lithium Processing Facility project at the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. This onsite role requires designing complex process flows and P&IDs, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include developing flow sheets, performing analyses, and generating detailed design reports for a nuclear facility, with a strong emphasis on clean energy processing and secure operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from ABET-accredited university with 10+ years in process design of complex nuclear or chemical facilities.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a security clearance; DOE Q security clearance required.
• Successful drug screening is required.
• Fully onsite role at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN; 4/10 schedule may apply.

Responsibilities

• Flowsheet development (block diagrams, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs) and analyses and calculations; reports and process descriptions.
