Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Nuclear Solutions engineering team in support of government and national lab projects. The role will drive design and analysis strategy for both software and hardware, and oversee engineering deliverables in a highly regulated environment.

The Chief Engineer will coordinate cross-functional teams, draft reports for management, and ensure adherence to customer standards and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering plus active certification.
• 15+ years' experience in the nuclear industry, including DoD and DoE support.
• Experience leading teams of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to draft and own engineering procedures, manuals, and workflows.
• Experience developing and managing engineering deliverables (drawings, specs, reports).
• U.S. Citizenship and eligible to obtain security clearance.

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering plus active certification in an engineering professional organization.
• More than 15 years' experience in the nuclear industry, including commercial nuclear, Department of Defense, and Department of Energy support.
• Must have experience leading teams of individuals from a variety of different backgrounds and disciplines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of engineering design and analysis
• Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating with engineering teams, business managers, and clients.
• Understanding of project management tools including schedules, Earned Value Management, Cost to Complete, and project budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and own engineering procedures, engineering manuals, and engineering workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing engineering requirements, engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, reports, code interpretations).
• Must be a United State Citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
• Must be able to spend long hours standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Location/Work Arrangement:

• Primary work locations will be the Oak Ridge, TN and Idaho Falls, ID offices.
• Full-time, exempt position based on a 40-hour work week.
