Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks an electrical engineer to design and support electrical systems for existing and new nuclear plants. You will work in a project team environment, interfacing with mechanical, structural, I&C disciplines and clients to ensure scope is met.

Hybrid work schedule with in-office days, travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and field verifications, and participation in installation support will be required.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design for nuclear power plants.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing design change packages.
• Experience with low and medium voltage distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering design change packages for equipment upgrades.
• Perform AC/DC power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop analyses.
• Interface with project team members and clients.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and field verification.
• Support site installation activities and ensure project scope/budget.
• Coordinate completion of project deliverables.
