Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer specialized in nuclear power to join their team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves preparing modification packages, developing mechanical drawings, and conducting engineering analyses for nuclear power plants.

The ideal candidate should possess a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering along with 10+ years of relevant experience. A hybrid work schedule and a robust benefits package, including health plans and paid time off, are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Develop functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
• Create technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Visit client offices and plant sites to interface with clients and present engineering status.
• Lead engineering project teams.
