Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Nuclear electrical engineer for a hybrid role in Peachtree Corners, GA. The position focuses on design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant electrical systems, with collaboration across Mechanical, Structural, Civil, and I&C teams.

The role involves client interface, vendor questions, site field walkdowns, and travel for design reviews and construction coordination. ABET- accredited degree and 5+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• 5+ years designing electrical systems in industrial projects, focusing on existing nuclear plants.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing specs and calculations.
• Electrical system design experience incl. low/medium voltage, transformers, generators, relays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering design change packages to install/upgrade equipment for reliability.
• Prepare/review detailed calculations: short-circuit, voltage drop, cable ampacity, breaker coordination, motor starting.
