Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under the nuclear QA program written to ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, write audit reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Responsibilities include planning audits, leading audits, evaluating suppliers, and maintaining qualification records to support NRC-style audits.

Qualifications

• NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or capable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear QA with hands-on auditing experience.
• Experience auditing 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, objective evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend approved-supplier-list additions, conditions, and removals; perform surveillances.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits of our own program.
