Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear quality assurance framework (ASME NQA-1). You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure on projects audited against licensee standards.

The role requires qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor (or within 90 days), 5+ years in nuclear QA, and comfort delivering findings.

Qualifications

• Must have NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or be qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience with construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.
• Comfortable delivering findings to the people who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program and lead audits end to end.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits.
• Write audit reports and verify corrective actions to closure.
• Lead auditors do not audit work they performed or supervised; ensure independence.
