Job summary

SarelaTech seeks a Sr. Network & Systems Engineer to provide advanced engineering and strategic systems analysis for a DoD contract at Fort Belvoir, VA.

You will lead enterprise IT operations across secure networks and serve as primary technical authority on complex system configurations. The role requires an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification or higher, and 8–12 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, network design, or IT operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering field with 8-12 years of experience, or a master's degree with 6-10 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, network design, or IT operations management.
• Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher prior to start.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance at time of consideration.
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls), system virtualization, and enterprise storage networks.
• Proficiency in administering SolarWinds, Active Directory architecture, and ITIL/ITSM frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced systems analysis techniques to consult with DTRA leadership and mission partners, determining complex system specifications and roadmaps.
• Document, test, and modify network and server configurations to align with DoD directives and security baselines.
• Serve as NOSC watch officer and escalation authority for complex outages, leading diagnostic strategy and root-cause analysis.
• Interface with Mission Partners, DISA, Joint Forces, and Combatant Commands to advise on operational impacts and vulnerabilities.
• Prepare and present After-Action Reports and technical briefings to senior leadership.
