Job summary

University of Oregon Alumni Association (UOAA) is seeking a senior Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and serve as the principal technical financial advisor to leadership. The role entails managing dues, donations, event revenues, and bifurcating blended revenue streams while ensuring compliance with gift restrictions and tax rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 5+ years progressive accounting experience in nonprofit organizations.
• Experience with nonprofit fund accounting, donor-restricted funds, and multiple revenue types (grants).
• Experience advising on UBIT triggers, scholarship tax compliance, and IRS Form 990 preparation.
• Hands-on experience with GL integrations with external databases and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations for the UOAA.
• Manage memberships, donations, events revenue and related expenditures.
• Consolidate financial information and reconcile with bank records.
