Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance in Portland, OR seeks a Sr. Manager, Accounting & Finance to lead the accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a nonprofit budget of ~ $50 million.

The role partners with leadership and program teams and requires onsite work at least three days per week, with a hybrid work arrangement. Ideal candidate has 5+ years of management experience in finance, nonprofit accounting, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of management experience in a finance or accounting leadership role.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, budgets, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting audits, grants, and funder reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills for non-financial audiences.

Aufgaben

• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, AP, payroll, month-end close, and year-end close.
• Supervise, coach, and develop the Accounting team to improve accountability and collaboration.
• Lead annual budget, multi-year planning, forecasting, and financial analysis for a $50M nonprofit.
• Provide strategic financial insight to executives and program teams with variance and trend analysis.
• Lead Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, reporting initiatives and related systems to improve planning and decision support.
• Maintain and improve financial policies, internal controls, and external reporting practices.
• Support external audits, tax filings, grant/funder reporting, and other compliance requirements.
