Job summary

University of Oregon Foundation seeks a Senior Accountant to serve as a key accounting resource for complex transactions, financial reporting, compliance, and endowment activities. The role supports audit procedures and process improvements while partnering with campus leadership, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and stewardship of Foundation assets.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Experience preparing audited financial statements and supporting disclosures.
• Experience with endowment and investment fund accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly endowment pool accounting processes and related journal entries.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, supporting schedules, and footnote disclosures.
• Coordinate annual tax return preparation with external advisors.
• Perform and review complex balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Lead strategic accounting projects and provide guidance to staff.
