Job summary

The University of Oregon Alumni Association is seeking an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations and to advise UOAA leadership on financial strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Compliance and UOAA Business Management, you will manage dues, donations, event revenues, and restricted funds, coordinate audits, ensure GAAP and fund accounting compliance, and deliver clear financial reports to the Executive Director, UOAA, and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Five (5) or more years of progressive professional accounting experience in nonprofit settings.
• Experience advising on UBIT triggers, scholarship tax compliance, and IRS Form 990.
• Hands-on experience with GL integrations to external databases (alumni systems/CRMs).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate financial information from various sources and reconcile with bank records.
• Oversee financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and fund accounting.
• Monitor budgets for external alumni programs and forecast variances.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the Director, Executive Director, and Board.
