This role manages the month-end close, revenue recognition, budgeting and forecasting, audit coordination, internal controls, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Nonprofit industry accounting experience required.
• Revenue recognition experience required.
• Significant month-end close experience.
• GAAP, internal controls, and accounting compliance knowledge.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
• Experience coordinating external financial statement audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition accounting.
• Lead coordination of the external annual audit.
• Support and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare budget-to-actual analyses.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial reporting matters.
• Support investment accounting and reconciliations.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and controls.
• Provide guidance to the accounting team.
