Ladders is seeking a Senior Underwriter to focus on the manual underwriting of complex mortgage transactions, with emphasis on Non-QM lending, income analysis, and layered risk assessment.

The role collaborates with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to evaluate eligibility and ensure adherence to investor guidelines, while maintaining underwriting standards across operations.

Qualificações

• 5-7 years of Non-QM underwriting experience.
• Experience with HELOCs and second mortgages preferred.
• 15+ years of overall underwriting experience.
• Ability to manually calculate income for complex self-employed borrowers.
• Proficiency with Encompass for workflow management.
• Strong knowledge of Non-QM guidelines and risk layering.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manually underwrite mortgage loan transactions in accordance with company and investor guidelines.
• Perform quality control audits of third-party vendors.
• Review loan scenarios and communicate eligibility requirements to clients.
• Collaborate with internal staff and third-party vendors throughout the review process.
• Assist in resolving loan-level credit and compliance issues.
• Prepare and disseminate updated underwriting standards and procedures.
• Complete additional duties as requested by management.
