Job summary

EMR Group is seeking an experienced Senior Non-Ferrous Buyer to lead sourcing and procurement of non-ferrous metals. The role can be worked remotely or at our US HQ in Camden, NJ, with focus on evaluating material, negotiating with suppliers, and protecting margins in a price-volatile market.

The candidate will manage supplier relationships, monitor commodity markets, and ensure a consistent flow of quality material for aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel and special alloys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years buying non-ferrous metals, preferably in recycling/metals trading.
• Deep knowledge of non-ferrous scrap grades, specs and recovery yields.
• Proven experience purchasing aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel and specialty alloys.
• Strong negotiation skills balancing supplier relationships with profitability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market conditions and price movements for key non-ferrous metals.
• Source non-ferrous scrap from various suppliers and negotiate pricing/terms.
• Develop and expand supplier relationships to broaden the regional base.
• Ensure timely material flow and protect company margins.
• Collaborate with internal teams on logistics and procurement strategy.
