Job summary

RS&H is seeking a Noise Specialist to join our Transportation Infrastructure team. You will manage noise studies, supervise team members, conduct monitoring, modeling, and reporting for transportation projects across the eastern U.S.

You will coordinate with clients and the public, support NEPA studies, and act as project manager on multiple engagements, applying strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in acoustics, engineering, transportation, environmental science, GIS or related field.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in the Federal Highway Administration’s Traffic Noise Model (TNM).
• Proficiency in ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcPro), MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Data collection, noise monitoring, modeling, and mitigation analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients.
• Coordinate with clients and the public for transportation improvement projects.
• Lead noise studies and manage projects within NEPA environmental studies or as stand-alone projects.
