Job summary

RS&H is seeking an experienced NEPA Transportation Project Manager to lead environmental planning and compliance for transportation infrastructure programs. This role combines project management, client leadership, and technical expertise to advance roadway, bridge, transit, and multimodal projects through NEPA processes.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with FHWA, USACE, and state DOTs, oversee budgets and schedules, and support business development while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field.
• 7 years of NEPA/environmental planning or transportation project delivery.
• PE and/or AICP licensure.
• Proficient in ArcGIS and project management.
• Strong oral and written communication; ability to interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience preparing NEPA documents (CEs, EAs, EISs).

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation projects through all phases of NEPA and environmental review.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality management programs.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of planners, scientists, engineers, and specialists.
• Mentor staff and provide technical guidance and development support.
• Coordinate with FHWA, USACE, state DOTs, and regulators; lead stakeholder engagement.
