Job summary

Under the Chief Technologist, you will prep patients, capture images, ensure PACS/PACS workflows, maintain records, and train staff. Requires ARRT, NY DOH license with injection, and 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and ARRT certification required.
• New York DOH radiologic technologist license with injection.
• Minimum 2 years work experience.
• Knowledge of radiographic exposure equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Trained in immobilization/management for neonates, children and elderly.
• Understanding radiologic/medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and rooms; enter data in Epic and systems.
• Obtain cut films and digital images with proper exposure settings.
• Assist during procedures with interventional radiologist and equipment.
• Maintain Epic and PACS workflow; verify labeling and orientation.
• Label, process, and display images for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain records of exams, fluoro time, injections.
• Observe radiation safety rules for patients and staff.
• Assist in training staff and students.
• Maintain area orderliness and cleanliness.
• Perform 5T/4T technologist duties as needed.
• Perform related tasks.
