Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a Radiologic Technologist for the RAD - Operations Wakefield unit on an evening schedule with alternate weekends. The role performs imaging studies with ionizing radiation and leads staff technologists while ensuring safety and quality.

You will coordinate with Epic/PACS systems, prepare patients, and manage imaging exams including digital and film images for radiologist interpretation.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Licensed by NY Department of Health as Radiologic Technologist with Injection.
• Associate degree or equivalent required; formal radiologic technology training.
• Knowledge of radiographic exposure equipment and imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

• Patient and room preparation; position patient; obtain scout film; ensure monitor setup and lighting.
• Obtain radiographic images with proper exposure factors and settings for diagnostic quality.
• Assist interventional radiologist during procedures and monitor progress in control room.
• Maintain imaging workflow in Epic and Philips Vue PACS; track exams and verify labels and orientation.
• Photograph and process images; label, store and display final images for interpretation.
• Maintain records of fluoro time, injections and films; ensure radiation safety compliance.
• Assist in training other staff and maintain cleanliness of the assigned area.
• Perform duties of 5T/4T technologist as needed.
