SeqMatic, a leading NGS and omics services provider based in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks a detailed, hands-on Scientist to advance our NGS operations. You will spearhead onboarding of new services, design workflows, and optimize library preparation protocols to deliver high-quality outputs.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s/PhD in a related field with 5+ years in NGS labs, excelling in documentation and cross-team collaboration within a CLIA/CAP-like quality framework.

Qualifications

• ,Master’s or Doctorate in a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on NGS lab experience.
• Strong expertise in library preparation techniques (WGS, RNA-seq, panels).
• Experience with sequencing platforms (Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore).
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of new NGS service offerings, including workflow design and implementation.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot NGS library preparation across platforms.
• Execute daily NGS lab operations ensuring accuracy and high-quality outputs.
• Evaluate and improve workflows to enhance efficiency and turnaround time.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics, operations, and quality teams for seamless service delivery.
• Document SOPs, validation reports, and process updates per quality standards.
• Train and mentor lab staff on new workflows and best practices.
