Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies in Boulder, CO is seeking a Research Scientist III to lead new NGS assay development and provide on-market product support. The role is on-site and reports to the Staff Scientist within the Assay Development team.

Qualifications include a Master’s or PhD in life sciences with 3+ years of NGS experience, wet-lab nucleic acid prep and dry-lab data analysis. Familiarity with Illumina sequencing is preferred.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. with 3+ years experience in NGS or Ph.D. with some NGS experience.
• Experience in wet-lab prep of nucleic acids for NGS.
• Experience in dry-lab programming for NGS data analysis.
• Foundational knowledge of human genetics and cancer biology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to summarize complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products using wet-lab and dry-lab skillsets.
• Plan and conduct experiments; perform data analysis and interpret results.
• Brainstorm solutions to improve existing technologies.
• Support on-market NGS products as a subject matter expert.
• Present experimental demonstrations at scientific conferences.
