Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Staff Scientist to advance nucleic acids and biochemistry research, leading development of IDT genomics products on-site. You design and conduct experiments, analyze results, and communicate outcomes to internal teams and external collaborators.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in a life sciences field or related discipline with 8+ years NGS product development, or Ph.D. with 5+ years NGS product development.
• Extensive laboratory skills across molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry are required.
• Experience with NGS library preparation chemistry for RNASeq, methylation, and target enrichment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct bench experiments advancing nucleic acids and biochemistry for IDT products.
• Analyze results and communicate findings to internal and external groups.
• Lead cross-functional projects and provide scientific support to other departments.
• Present demonstrations of products at scientific conferences.
