Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Senior NGL Scheduler in Houston, TX. The role focuses on scheduling NGL movements (pipeline, waterborne, truck, rail) and optimizing inventory to meet commercial commitments.

The candidate will interact with traders, operations, and external partners, ensuring alignment with refinery plans and market conditions while identifying efficiency opportunities and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five or more years of related experience is required.
• Four or more years of industry-related experience is required.
• Two or more years of NGLs experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nominate and schedule pipeline, waterborne, truck, rail and/or delivery movements using scheduling systems; monitor inventories daily to meet demand.
• Communicate planned movements with traders, optimizers, counterparties, customers, suppliers, producers, terminals and pipelines.
• Provide forward-looking inventory position to Trading, Pricing, Marketing, Trucking and Supervision to shape strategies.
• Respond to unplanned events with contingency plans to minimize supply disruption.
• Identify constraints and opportunities to optimize plans and reduce costs while maintaining reliability.
• Train and mentor new hires and junior schedulers; assist with onboarding and desk coverage.
