Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Senior/Lead business administrator to drive commercial strategy, governance frameworks, and cross-functional alignment across NG, NGL, and Specialty operations. You will lead process standardization, performance reporting, and cost-optimization initiatives with senior partners.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence across a large organization, with travel and Denver-based posting flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business administration or related field or five (5) years of experience in lieu.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in business administration, project management, or related field.
• Lead: Bachelor’s degree required in business administration or related field or seven (7) years of experience in lieu.
• Seven (7) or more years of experience in business administration, project management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Leads the implementation of consistent commercial methodologies based on persona, including analysis, forecasting, contract analysis, and financial model analysis.
• Leads monthly operational reporting for NG, NGL, and Specialty capacity utilization and KPIs for leadership decision making.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop coast-to-coast operational models, tools, and business processes.
• Oversee coast-to-coast Operational Margin assumptions, definitions, and guiding principles and drive changes.
• Analyze business processes and develop solutions to create improvements, efficiency, and alignment across the organization.
• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and governance adherence.
• Owns the capability roadmap and aligns with cross-functional teams.
• Manage Commercial subscription services, budgeting, and vendor negotiations.
