Job summary

UVA Health seeks a Senior Neurodiagnostic Biomedical Technician to bridge clinical care, biomedical tech, and Health IT across EEG/EMG systems. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize networked neurodiagnostic technologies to support patient care and clinical outcomes.

The role partners with Clinical Engineering, Health IT, cybersecurity, and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance and reliable operation, shaping technology strategy and workflows within an academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or CBET required.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Valid Virginia driver's license.
• CBET and CompTIA Network+ certifications preferred.
• Experience with EEG/EMG and neurodiagnostic technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for neurodiagnostic equipment, software platforms, and supporting technologies.
• Support EEG, EMG, and related neurodiagnostic systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, network connectivity, interface, and integration issues.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact patient care.
• Coordinate technical support across Neurodiagnostic Services, Clinical Engineering, Health IT, and vendors.
• Support system upgrades, implementations, migrations, and tech enhancements.
• Maintain equipment performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
