Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Neuro Surgical Technologist in Concord, NC to support a high-acuity neurosurgical service line. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in neuro OR; 5+ years preferred, with spine and cranial procedures, and familiarity with Mazor/Medtronic navigation.

Responsibilities include aseptic technique, instrument prep, room turnover, and collaboration with the RN circulator. Strong teamwork and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Minimum 5 years operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and proper handling of instruments.
• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies before, during, and after surgery.
• Support RN circulator with patient prep, instruments, and room turnover.
• Perform duties per department policies and document charges.
• Monitor sterilization activities and participate in department training.
