Job summary

Peraton seeks a seasoned Network/Systems engineer to support Cloud Network Operations. You will translate customer requirements into scalable designs, design and implement complex data network solutions, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver mission-critical, highly available networks.

The role emphasizes enterprise network maintenance, documentation, and hardware recommendations, including VPNs, NAT, firewalls, and load balancing to meet current and future capacity needs.

Qualifications

• Twenty years of experience as a Network Engineer or Systems Engineer on similar programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Active TS/SCI with current polygraph required.
• Experience leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Experience translating customer requirements into designs.
• Experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise networks.
• Developing detailed network architecture diagrams and design documentation.
• Experience with routers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways.
• Designing failover and high-availability solutions for enterprise customers.
• Experience with Cisco technologies including ASA, Nexus 9000, 2960-XR, Catalyst 6500, ASR platforms.
• Experience with GRE tunnels, MPLS, VPNs, NAT, firewall contexts, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of Catalyst 6500 series switches and Nexus platforms (9332/9336/9508).
• Redundancy testing across Cisco-based networks.
