Job summary

A Senior II Site Reliability Engineer - Network at Akamai Technologies, Inc. will drive reliability and performance of our global network infrastructure, collaborating with software, operations, and network teams to set standards and build scalable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, define SLOs, and contribute to code quality and architectural decisions while developing automation to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Partnering across teams to ensure the reliability, scalability and usability of our network infrastructure, products, and services.
• Defining requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence new designs and standards.
• Developing automation pipelines to support development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Defining SLOs for network infrastructure within the Akamai Connected Cloud to ensure high availability and performance.
• Working with Dev and Quality Assurance teams to create more robust solutions, code improvement and stability.
• Serving as a mentor to team members, driving code quality standards and providing thought leadership on architectural decisions.
