Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to design, implement, and support network solutions for clients while mentoring team members. You will lead multi-technology projects, collaborate with Practice Leads, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Required credentials include 5+ years in a technical field, a Bachelor’s or equivalent, and professional certifications such as CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA. IOS/IOS-XR/NX-OS experience and routing protocol expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience
• At least two or more Professional level certifications
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA
• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset
• Have strong prioritization skills
• Always be a team player
• Carry a professional attitude and respectful demeanor

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Execute on large projects with Project Managers to meet timelines and budgets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Engineers to ensure timely, accurate task completion.
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily project updates and proactive communication on timelines, resources, and risks.
• Foster cross-unit collaboration to deliver a world-class customer experience.
• Lead customer and team meetings with clear communication and professionalism.
• Contribute to product selection, configuration standards, and best practices; educate sales teams.
• Maintain professional demeanor in a team setting and across regions.
