Job summary

AWS Core Networking is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Network Fabric Engineering team. You will build software services to deploy and scale the Amazon networks across multiple global datacenters, balancing efficiency, performance and reliability.

You will contribute to designing extensible systems, mentor junior engineers, and handle on-call responsibilities in a 24x7 environment while engaging with multiple teams to ensure seamless operation of AWS data centers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Build production-quality software services for deployment and scaling of AWS networks.
• Deliver new services and features rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and lead design/architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance, scalability and efficiency.
