Job summary

TSMC Washington is seeking a Principal Technical Lead, Software Engineering (Network and Security) to define architecture, strategy, and direction for the Network and Security Platform across North America.

You will partner with teams in North America and Taiwan to design secure, resilient networking and security services for global cloud infra, AI platforms, enterprise systems, and manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 12+ years of networking or security engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-scale networking or cybersecurity architecture.
• 3+ years’ experience serving as Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Security Architect, or Technical Lead.
• Strong technical communication skills for collaborating with global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical strategy for enterprise networking and cybersecurity platforms.
• Lead architecture decisions across networking, identity, security, and cloud connectivity.
• Drive engineering standards, technical roadmaps, and architectural governance.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads.
• Lead cross-functional architecture reviews for mission-critical systems.
• Influence engineering strategy across multiple organizations.
