Job summary

TSMC Washington is seeking a highly experienced Principal Technical Lead – Data Infrastructure to define the technical vision and architecture for the enterprise data platform. You will partner with AI, Cloud Platform, and Engineering teams across North America and Taiwan to build scalable data services, enable real-time analytics, and ensure data governance and security.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading architecture for large-scale data platforms.
• 3+ years as Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Architect, or Technical Lead.
• Strong technical communication with global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term architecture and technical strategy for enterprise data infrastructure.
• Lead architecture reviews and decisions across multiple organizations.
• Design scalable data platforms (data lakehouse, streaming, batch/real-time pipelines).
• Build distributed systems with petabyte-scale storage and high-throughput ingestion.
• Enable AI and analytics with data pipelines, feature engineering, and governance.
