Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA seeks a Sr. Network Security Engineer to lead the engineering, delivery, and operations of its network security platforms with a focus on zero-trust architecture and secure connectivity across data centers, cloud, and retail locations.

This role oversees firewall/mobile security, Zscaler administration, incident response, and compliance programs while driving multi-year strategy to strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in network security engineering, with hands-on expertise in enterprise firewall platforms (Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate).
• Strong experience with Zscaler cloud security platforms (ZIA, ZPA) including deployment, policy management, SSL inspection, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing zero trust network architectures in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliance requirements as they relate to network security controls, segmentation, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and operations of ADUSA's network security platforms including next-generation firewalls, secure web gateways, and cloud security solutions.
• Architect and implement zero trust network security frameworks across the enterprise, defining micro-segmentation and least-privilege policies.
• Manage firewall rules, security policies, NAT configurations, and VPN infrastructure across multiple platforms.
• Oversee Zscaler cloud security platform administration (ZIA/ZPA) including URL filtering and SSL inspection.
• Drive compliance initiatives to meet PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
• Act as SME in network security design and architecture and advise on emerging threats and technologies.
