Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer to lead the engineering, delivery, and operations of our network security platforms with a focus on zero trust and next-generation firewalls across data centers, cloud, and retail locations.

You will drive the multi-year strategy to transform the network security posture, manage Palo Alto and Fortinet devices, and oversee Zscaler ZIA/ZPA while ensuring PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in network security engineering.
• Strong experience with Zscaler cloud security platforms (ZIA, ZPA).
• Designing and implementing zero trust network architectures in large-scale environments.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliance requirements for security controls.
• Experience with firewall platforms (Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate).
• Experience with SIEM platforms and network monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, and operations of ADUSA's network security platforms, including next-gen firewalls and cloud security solutions.
• Architect and implement zero trust frameworks across the enterprise with micro-segmentation and least-privilege policies.
• Manage firewall rules, security policies, NAT configurations, and VPN infrastructure across platforms.
• Oversee Zscaler platforms (ZIA/ZPA), including URL filtering and SSL inspection.
• Drive compliance initiatives for PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and audit readiness.
• Participate in security incident response, threat intel coordination, and forensic analysis.
• Develop and maintain network security automation for provisioning and policy deployment.
• Review security documentation, runbooks, and audit-ready standards.
