Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve enterprise network-security infrastructure. You will manage Palo Alto NGFW environments, Panorama, and HA, while integrating Cortex XSIAM and Strata Logging Service.

The role requires deep expertise with firewall design, microsegmentation, VPN, and enterprise routing. This is a fully remote opportunity within the United States, supporting SOC,云, and application teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years (or commensurate experience).
• 7+ years experience in network engineering, security, or related operations.
• 5+ years hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience in a production enterprise.
• Advanced experience with Panorama and multi-device policy management.
• Strong knowledge of HA designs and firewall management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, administration, and lifecycle management of Palo Alto NGFW environments.
• Own centralized firewall management through Palo Alto Panorama and templates.
• Design and govern security policies using zero-trust, least-privilege principles.
• Configure and troubleshoot security zones, NAT, VPN, and App-ID policies.
• Lead network segmentation and microsegmentation initiatives.
• Develop secure controls for traffic across users, servers, and cloud.
• Architect and troubleshoot HA deployments and failover strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects.
