GovCIO is seeking a Data Security Analyst — Master to design, implement, and run enterprise security controls across data, networks, and cloud environments. You will work hands-on with Palo Alto Networks tools—firewalls, Panorama, Cortex, and Strata—and partner with Cisco technologies.

The role is fully remote within the United States, requiring senior-level expertise and strong collaboration across security and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on firewall administration in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise with Palo Alto Networks next-gen firewalls and Panorama.
• Experience with Cortex for security analytics and SOAR/EDR capabilities.
• Strong Cisco networking knowledge including routing, switching, VPN, and ISE.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto firewalls across data centers, campuses, and cloud.
• Lead centralized firewall management with Panorama and policy governance.
• Design security policies with least privilege and app-ID controls.
• Operate Cortex for detection, investigation, and automation.
• Collaborate with security, network, and audit teams on remediation plans.
