Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to secure, scale, and strengthen a global network infrastructure focused on Palo Alto Networks platforms, firewall architecture, and secure remote access. This remote, contract-to-hire role supports data centers, offices, engineering environments, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

The engineer will own complex technical initiatives and collaborate with Network Engineering, Cloud and Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams, with hands-on

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience engineering and supporting network security solutions in complex production environments.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, including PAN-OS and Panorama.
• Experience with network automation or infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Bash.
• Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure network architectures across data centers, offices, remote sites, and cloud-connected environments.
• Administer and optimize Palo Alto Networks technologies including PAN-OS, Panorama, GlobalProtect, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, Application Control, and WildFire.
• Engineer and maintain firewall policy, segmentation, NAT, site-to-site VPN, remote-access VPN, and Zero Trust or SASE connectivity.
• Support routing, switching, WAN, and wireless infrastructure across data centers and global sites.
• Coordinate with Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, and other vendors on escalations and technical issues.
• Automate repeatable network and security tasks using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Bash.
