Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced Master Network & Security Engineer to lead the design, operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise network-security infrastructure. The role focuses on Palo Alto Networks NGFWs, Panorama, High Availability, Cisco switching, and cloud integration.

The Senior Engineer serves as the technical escalation point for complex incidents, defines standards, mentors junior staff, and partners with SOC, infrastructure, and cloud teams to reduce

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years in network engineering or security infrastructure operations.
• 6+ years Palo Alto firewall experience in production environments.
• Strong experience with Panorama, HA, and enterprise switching.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, administration of Palo Alto NGFW environments.
• Own centralized firewall management through Panorama and templates.
• Design and govern security policies using zero-trust and least-privilege.
• Configure NAT, VPNs, URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, and App-ID policies.
• Lead network segmentation and microsegmentation initiatives.
