Job summary

Ascension is seeking a senior network security engineer to drive continuous improvement of the security environment, optimize policies, lead segmentation initiatives, and enhance automation across Palo Alto, Fortinet, and NAC platforms.

• 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

• 8â10+ years of enterprise network/security engineering experience, with proven expertise troubleshooting complex, multi-layered issues under pressure in large-scale environments.


• Preferred certifications: Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE (4 or higher), CISSP, and security-focused credentials from Cisco or Aruba.
