Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Tier III O&M engineer to support WAN and LAN networks, provide incident resolution, router/firewall changes, and act as a subject matter expert in WAN/LAN technologies. The role involves long-term maintenance, performance analysis, and after-hours support as needed.

Required experience includes 16 years total with DoD IA qualifications and boundary protection knowledge. Expect collaboration with multiple teams and potential after-hours availability.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering and maintaining WAN/LAN networks and related security devices.
• Familiarity with OSPF, BGP, VRF, VLAN, VRRP, MPLS and network monitoring.
• Ability to analyze network performance and perform tier 3 troubleshooting and fault management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document procedures and configurations.
• Experience with Service Now or similar ITSM tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support operations and maintenance for LAN and WAN technologies, including routing and firewall changes.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot network hardware and software.
• Analyze traffic and performance metrics; optimize network topologies and site configurations.
• Coordinate with deployment and configuration teams; prepare incident reports and procedures.
• Respond after-hours for incident resolution as needed.
