Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Tier III O&M engineer to support WAN/LAN networks, incident resolution, and network changes. You will act as SME for WAN/LAN technologies, supporting intra- and inter-network data communications systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, configuring hardware and software, and coordinating with teams to optimize network topologies. Clear, precise communication and DoD IA qualifications required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate/8 years, Master/10 years, Bachelor/12 years, or HS diploma/16 years experience as per DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting boundary protection technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Forcepoint).
• Experience with Juniper and Cisco routers/switches and OSPF/BGP/VPN/MPLS protocols.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, IP subnet, NAT and security technologies.
• Understanding of ServiceNow or similar ITSM products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support O&M activities for WAN/LAN networks including incident resolution and changes.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot hardware, networking software and OS.
• Analyze network traffic and performance; provide practical recommendations.
• Prepare procedures for restoring networks to optimum performance.
• Provide fault and performance management for the network.
• Coordinate with configuration management and implementation teams.
• Maintain network configurations; document site changes and user requirements.
• Possibly perform COMSEC duties up to 10% of time; available for after-hours calls.
