Job summary

Aktion Associates seeks a Senior Network Operations Engineer in Charlotte, NC to deliver high-quality IT support for hosted environments and client networks. You will work in a collaborative NOC setting, handling escalations and contributing to data-center deliverables.

The role requires 3–5 years of IT/help desk experience, understanding of networks and endpoints, and knowledge of AD, virtualization, and security practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years IT Help desk support, MSP, or general IT experience desired
• 0-2 years of experience with Bachelor or Associate degree or equivalent industry experience and certification
• Understanding of network and endpoint topology
• Customer service oriented and the ability to problem solve are competencies required for this role
• Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop and Server, Active Directory, Virtualization Basics, and Security Practices
• SAGE 300, Linux, SAN Storage, Mobile deployments, FACTS, and Disaster Recovery would be a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer engagement by delivering a high level of support and timely response to customer inquiries.
• Resolve customers IT issues and address a wide range of issues with hosted servers as well as client’s networks, servers and PCs.
• Support business-critical areas of Aktion’s data center customer deliverables, ranging from basic user computing questions to advanced virtualization and storage.
• Tracking and resolving every customer request.
• Proven ability to solve IT issues.
• Serve as an advisor and mentor to other NOC staff for the for the resolution of more complex technical issues.

Role and Responsibilities:
