Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex enterprise networks for DoW IT architecture. You will lead network engineering efforts across LAN/WAN, VPNs, and security controls, ensuring reliable, secure data flows and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications include a BA/BS in a related field, 6+ years of experience, TS/SCI with Polygraph, and 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance; CCNP is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a field applicable to this work.
• 6+ years of related experience.
• 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred); must be compliant by date of security indoctrination with CE for certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop voice, video, RF, and/or data networks.
• Engineer and implement LANs/WANs/VPNs; oversee servers, storage, backup systems; troubleshoot network issues.
• Propose and implement upgrades to improve capability, efficiency, reliability and cost savings.
• Create network topologies and documentation for installation, integration, testing and maintenance.
• Perform network studies to determine requirements for bandwidth, security, and reliability.
• Develop/implement network paths for remote data sources.
